Gustave Rieu and son Jonathan opened the café in the beautiful Sony Atrium Plaza in July 2005.  Today Jonathan is the sole owner of the café but he carries on the traditional recipes he and his father used from the Rieu family in France when the opened the café 4 years ago. 

It is there that they learned how to prepare authentic gourmet coffee drinks.  Even though Rieu Café is a small kiosk, it serves a wide range of food including freshly made kosher pastries, breakfast bagel sandwiches and homemade soups.  The kitchen staff is led by Guillermo Moreno, or ‘Primo’ to those who know and love him here at Rieu Café.
